Baaghi 3 Movie Review: Entertainment Without Logic

Baaghi 3 Movie Review Entertainment Without Logic

The third installment of the successful Baaghi franchise, Baaghi 3 hits theatre on 6-03-2020. It runs for 143 minutes and stays true to its genre throughout the movie. As we know, Baaghi started as a rebel which was due to a ‘real cause’ now it doesn’t matter whether there is the cause or not but Tiger and the audience have to go through all the folderol just to create a new installment.

The original cast of Baaghi 1, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor are seen in Baaghi 3.

In contrast, Disha Patni has a particular number in this movie. You can expect too much of truckloads and chopper loads of action, but there is no logic in the film.

In the movie, Tiger Shroff plays Ronnie, and Riteish Deshmukh plays Vikram, who are two sons of inspector Chaturvedi (Jackie Shroff). In this movie, for the first time, Jackie Shroff and Tiger Shroff came together as a father and son duo.

As we know, Tiger Shroff is known for his action. In the movie, he inherited his father’s muscular combat moves and shows them off all the time in the movie.

In contrast, on the other hand, Vikram has inherited nothing! He portrays as good for nothing and incapable of taking care of himself. The inspector on his death bed asks Ronnie to take care of his big brother Vikram, this has happened for the very first time in the Hindi industry! All thanks to Ahmed Khan.

Chacha Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bhardwaj is the adult supervision who takes care of two kids, Ronnie and cute Panda like Vikram. From childhood, you can see Ronnie smacking up bad guys for his brother Vikram because “Mujhpe atti hai toh main chhod deta hoon. Mere Bhai pe atti ha to main phod deta hoon“. Ronnie reveals his responsibility and promise he made to his father on his deathbed to care of his big brother after beating the bandits up teeth flying and blood splattering action. And Smack! The kid grows up while he is fighting! This is what we can expect from a typical Hindi movie.

The first half of the movie entirely goes into establishing the movie from 1982 starring Dharmendra in a double role- Ghazab. Vikram from his childhood needs psychological attention. Already he is extremely sensitive but joins the police force and is placed in Agra.

Then both the brothers travel to Agra. But as we know, Vikram is too timid, so Ronnie proxy-fights for him. He goes on and catch the bandits and reduce the crime rate in the city. Still, both of them draw only one salary, which is unfair to Ronnie because he is one with all the moves and actions.

Now, movie shifts from Ghazab to Hum apke hain kon mode Ronnie fights and fights and bring medals to Vikram. Vikram marries Ruchi (Ankita Lokhnade), and Ronnie is drawn to the charm of Siya (Shraddha Kapoor), Ruchi’s sister.

Everything looks good till here; you might be expecting a happy Hindi drama end to it, and for a cool climax a local goon would be threatening Vikram and Ronnie would smash him up. Right? But no! Ahmed says why to stay local, let’s go international. He takes both the brothers to Syria through IPL Bhai.

Vikram has been kidnapped because of his medals while Ronnie proxy fights for him and Kudos! Vikram also wins a spot for himself in an anti-terrorist squad and sent to Syria that too alone. Now story appears blur from here, you will find Ronnie vs massive men. Ronnie also challenges guns, three choppers, and five tanks! in Baaghi 3. Our Ronnie won all of these, by just losing his shirt that too several times and shows off his abs.

Now in terms of performance, Tigers abs have been a real show, they have taken down on his bad acting. Strabismus sticks to his face like disbelief, but he was way better than Shraddha Kapoor.

Bubbly actress has done overacting, she mouths tapori dialogues and rarely acts which gets annoying. So now kindly figure out which one is better Bad acting or overacting! Jameel Khoury as Abu Jalal is the face you would remember from Fauda, Jack Ryan and Body of Lies makes his debut in the movie.

Still, we feel sorry for him, because he has dealt with the wrong script which didn’t demand good actors but definitely demanded acrobats. Vijay Verma appears in the movie as a Pakistani man, who is willing to help the Indians in Syria, but he disappears soon after confusing us.

In Baaghi 3, Tiger will remind you of Sunil Shetty days where he had a fabulous physique to flaunt but no acting to be proud of. However, the movie is technically sound and has pure emotions, it is pure entertainment but without any logic.
