Samsung near the end of this year introduced two new smartphones of its A-series. The Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71. A51 and A71 models have been launched by Samsung in Vietnam. The price of Galaxy A51 in Vietnam is set at VND 7,990,000 (that is approximately Rs. 24,000) and this price is for the 6GB 128GB variant.
The prices of other markets has not been announced yet. The orders will start from December 16 and the general availability of the smartphones will commence from December 27. These smartphones will be available in India January onward. For Indian market the smartphone is likely to receive the same specs as of the global market.
While these smartphones have first launched in Vietnam, they are to be launched next month in other markets. They are more feature-packed than their predecessors A50 and the A70. The phones like A50 and A70 have already made a boom in market and A50 is one of the top-selling smartphones of the mid-range segment, so the new-ones like the A51 and the A71 will also make a boom in the market with setting a higher benchmark than the previous ones (A50 & A70).
Talking to the specifications of these smartphones , the A51 and A71 comes with the Infinity O display with a resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels. Both the smartphones are powered by the latest android version, the Android 10 out of the box and Samsung’s One UI 2 user interface,
The Samsung Galaxy A51 will boast a 6.5 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity O display along with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The smartphone will be powered by 2.3Ghz Exynos 9611 octa-core which is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space. There will be an option to increase the storage space up to 512GB with the help of a MicroSD card.
The smartphone is embedded with in-display fingerprint scanner with face unlock feature. Talking about the camera of the Galaxy A51, it comes with a quad cam setup at the rear. The quad cam setup includes a 48MP camera sensor, a 12MP ultra wide lens, a 5MP depth sensor and a 5MP macro sensor.
At the front A51 features a 32MP camera with wide angle support which is good for taking selfies. Other and connectivity features of A51 include a USB type-C support , bluetooth v5.0 , Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS & A-GPS. Powerhouse of the smartphone is a 4000mAh Li-po battery with support of 15W fast charging. A51 is available in four colours Prism, Black, White and Blue.
The Galaxy A71 is having a bigger 6.7 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity O display (0.2 inches up from the A51). The processor is octa-core and Qualcom snapdragon 730 chipset paired with two options a 6GB RAM or 8GB RAM with 128GB storage space onboard. There’s a quad cam setup at the rear which consists of a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP depth sensor and a 5MP macro lens.
At front face of the smartphone there features a 32MP camera with wide angle which is the same as A51. This 32MP front camera is quiet good when it comes for taking selfies both in lowlight conditions and day condition. Other and connectivity features like USB Type-C 1.0 support, bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS / A-GPS is same as A51. Here, the powerhouse is bigger which packs a 4500mAh battery which supports a 25W fast charging (18W fast charging in case of A51). The Galaxy A71 is available in four colours- Prism, black, silver, blue.
The differences between the two are A51 comes with only 6GB and 128GB variant whereas the A71 comes with two variants offering 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM along with 128GB storage capacity. Battery in A51 is 4000mAh whereas A71 has a larger capacity battery i.e., 4500mAh.
The primary rear camera is 48MP in A51 whereas A71 boasts a 64MP rear primary camera which is more than the A51’s 48MP primary camera. The display of A51 is 6.5 inches and A71 has 6.7 inches both having Samsung’s Infinity O display that is FHD+ having a resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels.
Further we have to wait for the launch of A51 and the A71 in the Indian market by Samsung.
