Design & Looks:
The redmi note 8 design is likely the same design as of redmi note 7. From normal visual inspection, one can clearly see the similarity in terms of the design of redmi note 8 and the redmi note 7. The only difference in visual is the quad-camera setup at the backside. Other than the quad-camera setup it is difficult to differentiate that it’s a note 8 or a note 7 in the first look. One can also say it as a newer version of redmi note 7 in terms of visual appearance.
There are three colour options available on redmi note 8. Neptune blue, space black and moonlight white. Mostly buyers take the black colour when choosing a phone. However phone looks more beautiful when in other colour schemes rather than the old black scheme because bright colours such as blue enhances the visual appearances of the phone. The best selling colour of redmi note 8 is space black.
The phone is a little heavier when on hands. Redmi note 8 is slightly heavier than redmi note 7. The phone weighs 190g (Almost 200g practically after putting up the back case and the tempered glass). And offcourse little bit thick than it’s predecessor, that’s 8.4mm. There’s a gorilla glass 5 protection on the front and the back. The all glass body makes the phone look classy and premium.

The screen is big and bright which is good for watching movies and videos on YouTube and playing games. At the lowest brightness setting, it’s difficult to read. But no one keeps it to the lowest. The screen was best viewed at brightness levels of 40 to 50%. Also, no difficulties while outdoor at a brightness level of 100%.
Camera
The boasts a quad-cam setup at the rear. The setup is the same which is seen on redmi note 7. The quad-cam setup contains a 48 MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. While clicking pictures the camera clicks pictures in 12MP. It’s by default. For an everyday task, 12MP will be sufficient. To click images in 48MP one has to manually change the setting.
While clicking regular, there’s no difference seen in a 12MP and 48MP image, the clarity after zoom found better in 48MP image but this image will increase the picture size. No zooming facility while capturing in 48MP mode. The redmi note 8 camera captures less details in low-light but night mode turned on will give better results in low-light. Ultra-wide shots are captured well.
The 13MP single camera at the front clicks good selfies. One will not have to edit those selfies as the camera itself will capture great images. The camera also has many types of filters.
