After the sports biopic of captain cool – MS Dhoni, sports biopic continues to be in trend in Bollywood and happens to gather love from the audience. Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 is the biopic of Kapil Dev will be launched this year and is expected to be a huge hit. However, among the Saga of the sports biopic recently Sania Mirza revealed some facts about her upcoming biopic and confirms that the rights to her biopic have been sold to the producer Ronnie Screwvala.
Earlier, during an interview, Sania said that she wants her best friend Parineeti Chopra to essay her role in her biopic. Still, now she has denied for her portrayal.
According to a recent interview she had with Pinkvilla she said “Pari can’t do it because she is doing Sania Nehwal now. So, I guess she is out of the picture now.” So, for the ones who aren’t aware, Parineeti is playing the role of Sania Nehwal in her biopic.
Meanwhile, Sania already has a couple of names of the leading Bollywood actresses in her mind, who she thinks can be the perfect pick to play her role on the big screen.
In the same interview, she says “there are so many amazing actresses in the Bollywood, and I am damn sure that they can do justice to my role” well, tennis player looks pretty excited about her biopic.
When she was given a dilemma to choose one actress she said “Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Sara Ali Khan, there are a lot of options. It all depends upon the script as there are so many things to be taken into consideration.”
Sania further gave a little pica boo about her biopic, she revealed that it is in pre-production and they are in search for the directors.
In Kareena Kapoor’s show What Women Want once Sania said that she wants to involve her self in the movies and told Kareena “I would like to inspire other girls to pick up the tennis racquets or follow their dreams.” Well, her statement clearly says how much she is waiting for her biopic and how inspiring it is going to be.
Well, coming back to her friendship with Parineeti, she revealed about her friendship bond with the cheerful actress, she says “Pari and I have a very random friendship where we don’t talk for a few weeks in a row and then suddenly talk the whole day all time. But somehow, we get each other, and that is totally fine.”
She also revealed about her quarantine period, she says “In the morning I think she was playing antakshari and it was just random. I had not spoken to her in a few weeks, and I just sent her ‘Tu TuTututara, todonaadilhumara’ because the letter was ‘T’ and she totally gets it”.
