According to reports from Mumbai Mirror, Katrina Kaif said yes to the movie that was offered to her by Vikas titled ‘DEADLY’. She said yes to work with him on this project because she was curious about the role, and she wanted to experiment with it. She also said that she would be playing the role of a woman who is on a quest to find herself and Amitabh Bachchan would play the role of her father. The movie was a slice of comedy and offered a journey of self-realization from a women’s perspective.

However, Netizens became offended by Katrina’s decision to work with Vikas, as he was accused during the #MeToo movement. He was accused by a former employee of Phantom Films, a production house that doesn’t function anymore.

The one who was very offended by Katrina’s decision was a HuffPost journalist, named Ankur Pathak. He tweeted “Gentle reminder that Vikas Bahl- who according to Mumbai Mirror report is doing a film with Katrina and Big B next – sexually assaulted a young woman at a Bombay Velvet party in Goa. I hope Katrina thinks through this ‘very’ troubling decision of hers.” Well, clearly it looked like a clear warning against the actress.

Later he updated his tweet and enlightened us with her denial. He said “UPDATE: heard back from Katrina Kaif, who said that the Mumbai Mirror report- of her doing a film titled Deadly with Vikas Bahl- is untrue.”

Katrina Kaif cleared the clouds on the same. However, after playing a significant role in Bharat, Katrina will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. She will be starring along with Akshay Kumar in this cop drama. The film was scheduled to hit the theatres on 27 March 2020, but due to the novel Coronavirus outbreak, it has been postponed.

In an official statement, Akshay said “Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over a year of dedication and hard work, and the response we got for its trailer was nothing less than feeling blissful and made it clear that our film belongs to our appreciative audience… we have been happy to present the film to you and your family but due to the recent outbreak of Coronavirus. We the makers have decided to postpone the release of your film ‘Sooryavanshi’ keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience… and therefore, Sooryavanshi will be right back for you when it is the right time… Afterall the safety comes first… Until then, keep the excitement intact take good care of yourself and stay strong… we shall pull through this…” Team Sooryavanshi
