I For India, Successfully Raised Rs 52 Crore With Bollywood & Hollywood Celebrities

I For India’ concert, which was held on May 3, 2020, for raising funds for the COVID-19 frontline warriors, successfully raised an amount of Rs 52 crore. So far the count is just increasing. Many celebrities of the Bollywood industry took to their social media handles to inform their followers of the donation amount. Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor thanked the people for watching the online concert and donating more than what was expected.

According to sources, I For India concert turns out to be that this online concert has become the world’s biggest fundraiser concert organized live on Facebook, to raise an amount of Rs 4.3 crore. Philanthropists and corporate donors managed to donate an amount of Rs 47.77 crore.

The online concert, I For India received overwhelming attention and help from people from all across the globe. The entire donation amount will be transferred to Give India to fight the battle of COVID-19 and will be used for relief work. Many stars took a step forward to thank all their fans and the countrymen for showing their genuine support at all times.

It seems like the initiative started off as an online concert but it can turn into a movement, looking at its initial success. The kind of response this concert received is crazy and something like this has never received so much love considering the history of other events. Thus, in no small measure is this great achievement not only for the Bollywood industry but even for the country as a whole.

The digital concert held for the COVID-19 relief funds collaborated with some of the most successful stars from the Bollywood industry including Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan. The online concert also had Hollywood stars that were a part of this noble cause. Celebrities including Mick Jagger, Sophie Turner, Nick Jonas, and Will Smith were a part of I for India concert.

The concert was not only about singing, dancing, and poetry. The celebrities also addressed some important issues such as the plight of the frontline warriors and workers, daily wage earners domestic violence, child abuse, etc, cases of which have been escalated since the lockdown.

They also told their fans to treat animals with compassion and adapt to some eco-friendly habits for the coming future. Some renowned filmmakers such as Faran Khan, Vishal Bhardwaj, etc were also a part of this amazing initiative.

Identities from sports background also joined the online I for India concert, such as Virat Kohli and Sania Mirza. Music fraternity included Bryan Adams, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, Jay Sean, AR Rahman, Jonas Brothers, Ustad, Amaan Ali, Ayaan Ali, Arijit Singh, Sonu Nigam, Badshah, and many others.
