While the times are tough right now and many films will have untimely delays and releases, this is not happening for the first time in Bollywood. Several movies in the past have suffered from the faith of untimely delays.

1. Time Machine
Shekhar Kapoor’s dream project Time Machine was a film inspired by Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis’s film Back to Future. To perform in the pivot roles, the cast of the film had come of the greatest names of the Industry, Amir Khan, Raveena Tandon, Naseeruddin Shah, Rekha, Gulshan Grover, and Vijaya Anand.
Shekhar Kapoor had planned a massive success for the movie as per his sight. The dream project of his life, however, did not turn outright. Even after the cast and the production team have all come together, he was not able to gather enough funds. The movie was put on a hold first then was and then was canceled. Shekhar Kapoor then moved to the USA permanently soon after.
2. Apna Paraya
The shoot of Apna Paraya begun in the year 1972. The leading cast had Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, who were both newbies back then and were trying to create their place in the humongous industry. Believing the rumors, Amitabh Bachchan had even begun shooting for the film but failed to impress the director. Even after shooting the first section of the film along with Rekha as per the rumors, he was replaced.
Sanjay Khan was then taken over with Rekha as the lead actress of the film. The name of the film was changed to Duniya Ka Mela. The film failed to leave a mark on the industry. At the same time, Amitabh’s Zanjeer had released and became one of the biggest hits.
As per the reports, Percept Picture Company had approached Amitabh Bachchan to star in a film called Johnny Walker. The film was being directed by Shoojit Sircar. After the film could not manage to come out on the floor, Shoojit approached UTV Motion pictures for this project. To make sure there are no troubles in the procedure, he changed the name of the picture too. The film was renamed to Shoebite. This inflamed a massive conflict and then a legal battle between the production houses.
Amitabh Bachchan had even tweeted about the same requesting the production houses to let the film be released.
Dus is a film that was never able to see the sunlight. Starring Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, the film was about two Indian agents who were supposed to be on a mission to terminate the Indo – Pakistan war. But the stars of the fortune were not in the favor of the film. Between the schedule of the film, the director Mukul Anand had passed away. The film was then left incomplete in the memories of the director. However, the music of the film was ready and was released in his memory.
Parinaam was yet another film that could never see the bright light of the world and the film closed down even before it could star. The film was scheduled to release in the year 1993. The schedule of the shoot was set. Akshay Kumar and Divya Bharti were in the lead roles of the film. But the movie got shelved with the demise of the lead actress Divya Bharti. The production house then did not continue with the film believing it was not meant to be.
