The handsome hunk of the Bollywood industry, Ajay Devgn is all set to mark his heroic entry with the sequel, Raid 2. The film revolves around the alarming case, which is based on a true story. In the first part, the actor played the role of an IRS officer named Amay Patnaik who is all set to crumble down the world of corruption. The main aim of such films is to appreciate the dedication of the public heroes who successfully track down the crimes risking their lives.
The sequel will also be a tribute to the public heroes who fight against the corrupted system risking their lives but do not wear a uniform. These people too deserve the respect we give to the ones all decked in uniforms. T Series has confirmed the news that the script for Raid 2 is under work. The co-producer of the film, Shushan revealed that the film will be a multi-film franchise and thus confirming the news that a sequel will be shot.
It is pretty obvious that since the first part was such a huge success the audience is expecting a better script. This clearly means that there is a huge responsibility for the filmmakers. Furthermore, after the success of the history rooted film, Tanhaji- The Unsung Hero, the amount of pressure on this sequel is a lot.
The first part of the film was based on the story of the longest raid in the 1980s. While Ajay Devgn was the protagonist, the role of his beloved wife was played by the gorgeous actress, Ileana D’Cruz, and the role of the villain was played by the very talented Saurabh Shukla. He played the role of a politician who was corrupted and created loopholes in the bureaucratic system.
Meanwhile, the Tanhaji actor is still basking in the success of his last film. Kajol was also a part of the beautifully scripted movie; she played the role of SavitriMalusare, whereas Saif Ali Khan leads the role of the villain under the name of UdayBhan. It is not surprising that the film crossed the mark of 227 crores and was the biggest blockbuster of the year since the screenplay was stunning.
The fact that the film’s story had its traces in the Marathi history it was loved by the audience. The film received amazing support from the Maharashtrian audience. Ajay Devgn has a number of films in the coming two years and the audience is already thrilled to know about the characters he will be playing. He will next be seen in the film, Bhuj-The Pride of India, Neeraj Pandey’s Chanakya, Kaithi remake and Indira Kumar’s Thank God.
These Bollywood blockbusters will definitely demand amazing characters to be played and we cannot think about anyone but Ajay Devgn who is best suited for heroic roles. After coronavirus lockdown comes to an end, the shooting of his movies will begin and in no time it will hit the big screens. Until then we can just wait for the film updates.
